2. Calculator entries and local storage
All calculators on this website run entirely in your browser (JavaScript). Working times, breaks, hourly rates, profile names and other entries are not transmitted to us or to third parties and are not stored on our servers.
So that your entries are available on your next visit, the website keeps them in your browser's local storage under keys beginning with calchours:. This storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested (continuing a time card, profiles), so no consent is required. You can delete the data at any time with "Reset" or "Delete profile" in the calculator, or through your browser's site data settings.
"Share link" encodes your current entries in the link address. Anyone who receives the link can see the entries; create such links only if you want to.
3. Offline use (service worker)
The website installs a service worker that keeps visited pages, scripts, stylesheets and fonts in your browser's cache so that the calculators work without an internet connection. No personal data is processed; the cache contains only public page content. You can remove it through your browser's site data settings.
4. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, and delivered through its global network. When you open a page, Netlify necessarily processes your IP address, date and time, the requested address, the amount of data transferred, the referrer and your browser identification. These data serve delivery, security and error analysis; Netlify deletes them after a short period and we do not combine them with other data.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation). Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR apply in addition. Netlify's privacy notice: netlify.com/privacy.
5. Fonts and external content
Fonts are served from our own server. No content is loaded from Google Fonts, third-party content delivery networks, social networks or map services. External links (for example to statutes) lead to third-party sites whose operators are responsible for their own data processing.
6. Cookies, analytics, advertising
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. Should this change in the future, this policy will be updated in advance and, where required, your consent will be obtained.
7. Embedding the calculator on other websites
Operators of other websites may embed the calculator as a widget. When you visit such a site, your browser loads the widget from calchours.com, producing the server logs described in section 4. Your entries in the widget are likewise stored only locally in your browser. The embedding website's own privacy policy applies to that site.
8. Contact by e-mail
If you write to us by e-mail, we process your details to handle the request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once the request is settled and no statutory retention obligation applies.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Contact the e-mail address above.
